Rumor had it there was a secluded white beach not too far away, and we wanted to find it! At first it was one of our planned Advent activities… you know, searching for a bit of a “white Christmas” but it wasn’t until a bit after Christmas that we had time to sneak away, explore the area and find our white beach.
After an hour and a half in the car, one carsickness episode, a dead end with a beautiful view of what we were not looking for…
and a bunch of rowdy monkeys…
a local guy pointed us in the right direction, off the beaten path, down a long bumpy road… and we made it!
Our White Sand Beach!
Tucked away in a cove was the prettiest beach we’ve found on this island, and thankfully, not too many others have found it either.
And while the sand wasn’t as white as everyone had talked it up to be, Evie still had fun playing in it.
Not only was the sand the prettiest we’d found here so far, or the cove the greenest we’d found, the water itself was teeming with schools of fish swimming through beautiful coral…
… which Josh was able to capture beautifully with his birthday gift from his parents!
Our few hours in a hidden paradise had us all smiling…
